Senior Director of Accounting and Finance

The client is seeking a Senior Director of Accounting and Finance to lead the organization’s accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, treasury, tax compliance, and audit coordination. The role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information and supports strategic decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Key responsibilities include managing month-end close, accounts receivable/invoicing, accounts payable, sales tax, payroll entries, the general ledger, fixed assets, accruals, and capital project accounting. The Senior Director will oversee cash management and cash forecasting, maintain bank relationships, prepare financial reports and analysis to highlight trends, and manage annual budget preparation and monitoring. This position also drives process improvements, system enhancements, and automation to increase efficiency and scalability. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and a CPA. Additional qualifications include at least 5+ years of experience in full-service accounting roles, as well as 5+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry with midstream experience highly preferred, along with demonstrated success leading and developing accounting professionals. Strong knowledge of GAAP and analytical skills, ERP experience (preferably with NetSuite), proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and excellent communication and organizational abilities are expected, along with willingness to travel monthly within Texas and occasionally domestically.
