The ideal candidate will provide high-quality instruction to our students and foster a safe, nurturing environment that aligns with our Christian values.

We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused educator to help inspire mathematical confidence, curiosity, and achievement in a high school learning environment. The ideal candidate is committed to creating an inclusive classroom, supporting diverse learning needs, and helping students build a strong foundation in core math concepts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standard-aligned math lessons for high school students.
• Create a positive, respectful classroom environment that supports learning and student growth.
• Differentiate instruction to meet a range of academic abilities and learning styles.
• Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, tests, and other evaluation methods.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding and skills.
• Develop and implement classroom management strategies that promote engagement and accountability.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
• Communicate clearly with students and caregivers regarding academic progress and expectations.
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other activities that support instructional excellence.

Qualifications

• All employees at MCA shall be active members of a Christian church and must sign a statement of commitment to MCA's vision, mission, objectives and statement of faith.

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics.
• Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification, as required by the state of Indiana.
• Strong knowledge of secondary mathematics and instructional best practices.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, approachable, and engaging manner.
• Commitment to supporting student achievement and fostering a positive classroom culture.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
