FOOD SAFETY SUPERVISOR

Our client is currently seeking an FSQA Supervisor for a thier producuton facility in Pittsburgh PA. The FSQA Superivor will plan & direct the activities involved with implimenting & improving the quality standards & food safety programs in the production plant. This is a 2nd Shift position working Monday - Friday from 3pm-11pm. Candidates with 3+ years of previous Food Safety / Quality leadership exprience in Manufacturing are preferred. This company has multiple manufacturing plants in the greater Pittsburgh area and has been growing in recent years. • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
• Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. Maintain the Material Review Area to ensure that all products are distributed in a timely manner.
• Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
• Assist the FSQA manager in maintaining and distribution of all measuring equipment as well as calibration requirements.
• Suggests and implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety and efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

• Bachelors Degree in Food Safety or Similar field
• 2+ years of FSQA Leadership Expereince
• Proficient with SQF, BRC GFSI Standards
• HACCP, PCQI Certifications preferred
• Continuous Improvment / Change Management experience preferred
