Location: Deerfield Correctional Center21360 Deerfield Drive Capron, VA 23829
Shift: Monday Friday 4 x 10-hour shifts (Tuesday Friday)
Facility: Deerfield Correctional Center (DFCC)

Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive on-site primary care services to patients.
Looking for a candidate with experience in General Practice or Internal Medicine.
Perform physical examinations and diagnose acute and chronic medical conditions.
Prescribe medications and administer treatments within the Nurse Practitioner scope of practice.
Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic studies.
Evaluate patients for specialty referrals and review consultation reports.
Provide routine, urgent, and emergency medical care as needed.
Conduct infirmary rounds as directed by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up care in accordance with facility policies and standards.
Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner License.
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP).
Current Board Certification (or Board Eligible).
Current BLS/CPR Certification (Healthcare Provider level).
Active DEA Registration.
