San Francisco, CABusiness Operations – Finance /Full time /On-siteWanna join the adventure?Loft Orbital is looking for a Cash Analyst to join our Finance team and support the cash management of our growing international business.In this role, you’ll work closely with our Finance and Accounting teams across the US and France on daily cash positioning, weekly cash reporting and cash forecasting. You’ll get direct visibility into the numbers behind a fast-growing, international space company.This is a great opportunity for someone with first time experience in Finance who enjoys working with numbers, pays close attention to detail, and wants to take on more ownership over time.About the Role:Track customer receipts and supplier payments against forecast, and flag timing risks early.Monitor daily cash positions across Loft’s bank accounts, legal entities and currencies.Prepare weekly cash reporting, including the weekly cash update to the founders and the 13-week cash forecast.Take progressive ownership of the 13-week cash forecast, keeping it current with actuals and inputs from Accounting, FP&A and program teams.Support, and progressively own, the analysis of cash burn, runway and cash scenarios (e.g. delayed collections, hiring or capex changes).Analyze forecast-to-actual cash variances and use the findings to improve forecast accuracy.Support annual and multi-year cash projections with FP&A.Work closely with Accounting and FP&A to ensure consistent methodologies and timely delivery of consolidated reporting.Build strong, trusted relationships across the company (programs, Opex owners, leadership) and help position Finance as a key business partner.Support the optimization and automation of cash management tools and processes, with increasing use of AI.Work with distributed teams across the US and France.Must Haves:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.1–3 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Audit, or a related analytical role.High Excel proficiency.Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy with financial data.Curious, analytical mindset, with a willingness to understand the “why” behind the numbers.Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and propose improvements to processes and tools.Ability to deliver on time and work autonomously, sometimes under tight deadlines.Team player with a collaborative mindset, comfortable working across teams and time zones.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Nice to Haves:Hands-on experience with Claude is a plus.Industry background in a project-based or industrial environment (aerospace is a plus).Exposure to bank reconciliations, payment processing, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable.Experience with an ERP, NetSuite preferred.Experience supporting an international or multi-entity organization.Some of Our Awesome Benefits:100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance option for employees and dependentsFlexible Spending (FSA) and Health Savings (HSA) Accounts offered with an employer contribution to the HSA100% employer paid Life, AD&D, Short-Term, and Long-Term Disability insuranceFlexible Time Off policy for vacation and sick leave, and 12 paid holidays401(k) plan and equity optionsDaily catered lunches and snacks in officeInternational exposure to our team in FranceFully paid parental leave; 14 weeks for birthing parent and 10 weeks for non-birthing parentCarrot Fertility provides comprehensive, inclusive fertility healthcare and family-forming benefits with financial supportOff-sites and many social events and celebrationsRelocation assistance when applicable$105,000 - $125,000 a yearState law requires us to tell you the base compensation range for this role, which is $105,000 - $125,000 per year, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
