Bakersfield, CA | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Weekends as needed) Exact Staff is hiring an experienced Forklift Operator/General Laborer to join our warehouse and transload operations team in Bakersfield. This position offers steady work and weekly pay, and is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to unload trucks and railcars while also assisting with general warehouse duties to support daily operations. This position is ideal for individuals with sit-down forklift and general warehouse/labor experience. What You'll Be Doing: - Safely operate a sit-down forklift to unload trucks and railcars - Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the warehouse and yard - Palletize products for storage and shipment - Perform general labor duties including sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining an organized work area - Assist with warehouse operations as needed to ensure efficient workflow - Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines - Inspect equipment before each shift and report any maintenance concerns - Work as part of a team to meet daily production and shipping goals Qualifications: - Previous sit-down forklift experience required - Current forklift certification required - Ability to safely unload trucks and railcars with minimal supervision - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work - Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions - Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-focused - Strong work ethic and willingness to assist with general labor duties when not operating the forklift Pay, Schedule, and Location - Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour - Schedule: Monday-Friday (Weekends as needed) - Shifts Available: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM - Location: Bakersfield, CA Benefits Available: - Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Insurance - $0 copay for unlimited Teladoc virtual visits - Employee Assistance Program (medical, financial, or legal support) - Coverage available for spouse, domestic partner, and children - Pet insurance available - Resources for parents with children of developmental disabilities Hiring Requirements: - Valid identification that proves your right to work in the United States - As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a drug screen and background check Apply Today!
