UHealth at SoLé Mia will also deliver the latest in urologic treatments from the renowned Desai Sethi Urology Institute as well as top-notch care from UHealth’s nationally ranked neurology and neurosurgery programs.The University of Miami UHealth – **Pharmacy Department** at SoLé Mia has an exciting opportunity for a **Pharmacist.****CORE JOB FUNCTIONS*** Compounds and dispenses medications, as prescribed by doctors and dentists, by calculating, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.* Calculates the volume of medication required to produce the desired results to ensure proper dosages.* Assesses the identity, strength, and purity of medications.* Reviews prescriptions to ensure accuracy, ascertain the needed ingredients, and evaluate suitability.* Provides information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.* Analyzes prescription trends to monitor patient compliance and prevent inappropriate usage or harmful interactions.* Maintains records, such as pharmacy and system files, patient profiles, inventories, control records for radioactive nuclei, and registries for poisons, narcotics, and controlled drugs.* Advises customers on the selection of medication brands, medical equipment, and healthcare supplies.* Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.The University of Miami offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition remission and more.UHealth-University of Miami Health System, South Florida's only university-based health system, provides leading-edge patient care powered by the ground breaking research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine.
