We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to support the meaningful work of community oncologists and the patients we serve.Job Description:Job PurposeThe Imaging RN assists the Imaging Center staff in providing patient care by answering questions and concerns about procedures, monitoring patient vitals, and administering medications and intravenous injections.Essential Job FunctionsAssist patients and caregivers with questions or concerns about procedures.Monitor patients’ vital signs, as well as document and adjust treatment as necessary.Administer and oversee intravenous injections.Administer required medications.Prepare patients for procedure.Provide anesthetic assistance when patients require sedation for procedure.All other duties as assignedQualificationsMust have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Must have strong attention to detail.Must be able to follow instructions well.Must have excellent bedside manner.Education/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in NursingAlabama LicenseBLS certification requiredAt least (1) year experience in diagnostic imaging nurse roleWorking conditionsThis position works in the Imaging Center of a busy outpatient oncology/hematology clinic. Direct patient contact is required.Physical requirementsThis position requires that the employee be able to stand on their feet for up to (10) hours a day.
