Data Engineer

Data EngineerLocation: Atlanta, GA Duration: 5-6+ months5–10+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related data roles.Strong SQL, SQL Server, database management, and data modeling skills, including ERDs, database schemas, data flow diagrams, star schema, and dimensional modeling.Design, maintain, and optimize data structures, queries, and databases to meet business requirements.Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT and data integration, including SSIS or similar tools, and integrating data across multiple systems.Build, operate, and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines using relational databases, data lakes, and NoSQL systems.Experience with Power BI for analytics, dashboards, and reporting.Experience with Spark-based platforms, with Databricks Lakehouse preferred.Transform raw data into curated, reusable datasets for analytics and reporting.Familiarity with Airflow or equivalent orchestration tools, Git, CI/CD, and automated data workflows.Experience using AI tools/Copilots for SQL development, pipeline creation, testing, documentation, and engineering automation.Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineers and managers in electric utility/operations and regulated, production-critical environments.
