Associate Professor Term (Open Rank) - Family and Geriatric Medicine

Position Overview The University of Louisville Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine, Division of Primary Care Sports Medicine, seeks a full‑time faculty member to provide comprehensive primary care and supervise residents in both primary care and hospital settings. The role also involves seeing patients in the sports medicine clinic, supervising sports medicine fellows, attending training room sessions with University of Louisville athletics, and participating in game coverage as a team physician. Working closely with students, residents, and fellows is a key component of this position, supporting the department’s missions for education and clinical service. Qualifications Board certified in Family Medicine or equivalent primary care training Licensed in the state of Kentucky Demonstrated clinical and teaching skills Additional training from an accredited primary‑care sports medicine fellowship Experience and proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound preferred Responsibilities Provide full‑scope primary care services Supervise residents in primary care and hospital settings See patients in the sports medicine clinic Supervise sports medicine fellows Attend training room sessions with university athletics teams Provide game coverage and serve as a team physician as needed Support departmental missions for education and clinical service Benefits Comprehensive provider benefits Excellent recruitment package Academic appointment and compensation commensurate with experience Strong research environment and outstanding clinical facilities Equal Employment Opportunity The University of Louisville is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
