Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist, Pediatric (RT PEDS) position in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves caring for general medical, intermediate, and intensive care pediatric patients in a large critical care facility. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details

• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts (1830-0700) with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via National Board for Respiratory Care, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBC, with at least 2 years of experience in large (300 beds or more) critical care facilities
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; experience working in a large critical care setting; NICU/PICU experience; experience in critical care; RRT preferred over CRT; proficiency with Ventilators (Servo U, Servo i, LTV), Trilogy, Cpap (ResMed S9), heated high flow (Fisher Paykel); familiarity with EPIC Electronic Medical Record system; no recent employment at an OSF facility within the past year; knowledge of ICU patient care for children, including neonates and pediatric patients; minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care environment; latest certifications as specified
• Additional Information: Every other holiday and weekend requirements; no floating in respiratory therapy; first 12 hours orientation including EPIC training, vent review, IPV, and specialty item review, followed by supervised days and on-their-own shifts.
