Position Details Location: St. Joseph's Hospital South – Medical/Surgical ICU – Riverview, Florida Status: Full Time Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Every other weekend requirement On Call: Yes Always in person Benefits 401(k) match and additional yearly contributions Parental Leave covering births and adoptions Paid Time Off Tuition reimbursement Year performance appraisal and team award bonus Extensive training and mentorship along with amazing career growth opportunities Pet Insurance Employee Assistance Program Will and Legal assistance Community discounts and more Requirements RN (Registered Nurse) License Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing 1-year RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association ACLS certification with the American Heart Association Registered Nurse – ICU Responsibilities And Skills Work in a hospital setting and independently care for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients Coordinate and document appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge Have high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient Professional accountability and development Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled #J-18808-Ljbffr BayCare Health System
