Senior Operations Manager

Job Description
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, including customer service, supply chain coordination, logistics, inventory visibility, and operational performance. This role serves as the operational leader, providing oversight of customer service and supply chain functions while ensuring effective coordination between sales, customers, suppliers, transportation providers, warehouses, and ownership.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop customer service and supply chain personnel.
  • Establish performance expectations, accountability standards, and operational metrics.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer, sales, logistics, and operational issues.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee customer service operations, order execution, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure customer commitments are executed effectively through collaboration with sales and operational teams.
  • Maintain visibility into inventory positions, inbound supply, transportation activity, and operational risks.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and other service providers to support efficient operations.
  • Monitor logistics performance and guide recovery efforts when operational disruptions occur.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, reporting, and performance metrics across customer service, supply chain, and logistics functions.
  • Provide ownership with visibility into operational performance, inventory position, service levels, and supply chain risks.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective action initiatives.
  • Develop and improve processes, SOPs, reporting tools, and operational workflows to support business growth and scalability.
Essential Skills
  • 7+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, customer service, or related business functions.
  • Previous leadership or management experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing cross-functional operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business reporting.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with international supply chains, ocean freight, drayage, trucking, and transportation management.
  • Experience with inventory management, import operations, or procurement support.
  • Experience developing KPIs, SOPs, and operational reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.

Work Environment
The position is fully onsite, operating Monday through Friday in Brentwood. This is a direct placement opportunity with a well-established family-owned business.

This is a Permanent position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
