Student Internship Program

The Student Internship Program provides opportunities for students enrolled in a higher education program of study to gain real-world experience working with Information Technology Services (ITS), based in Athens Georgia to provide network, infrastructure, and software solutions to students, faculty, staff, within universities throughout the state of Georgia. This intern position will be fully involved in the Operations including working with computing infrastructure, Database Administration, ERP Application, Security, and PC support team members in resolving issues and assisting with projects.

Job Duties - 100 Work with Analysts in researching customer software issues Develops, creates, maintains, and writes/codes new (or modifies existing) scripts, API integrations, or specialized utility programs Create and update well organized Excel spreadsheets for data input and easy information reference Assist in administering ERP application system support tickets. Prepare and edit presentations and documentation for ITS initiatives, events, or deliverables. Assist miscellaneous projects that involve analysis and preparation of system/application data.

Educational Requirements Full or part time student at a school within the University System of Georgia Other Required Qualifications Ability to maintain confidentiality while dealing with sensitive information Completed or working towards a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or systems engineering is a plus. Self-motivated, strong organizational skills and attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills and able to handle multiple tasks. Good customer service skills. Strong internet and computer skills. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
