Chesapeake Automotive Equipment Machine Repair Mechanic Location: Lexington Park, MD Pay: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time Chesapeake Automotive Equipment is seeking a skilled technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of shop equipment used in automotive and heavy‑duty service environments. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, solving mechanical issues, and working directly with customers in the field. We supply and service a wide range of equipment including vehicle lifts, air systems, and specialty repair tools for commercial clients across the region. Key Responsibilities Install and service automotive shop equipment at customer locations Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete necessary repairs Evaluate job sites to determine equipment needs and service requirements Complete service calls independently while maintaining strong communication with clients Document work completed, parts used, and recommended follow‑up services Follow safety standards and company procedures at all times Maintain tools, inventory, and service vehicle readiness Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with automotive shop equipment such as lifts and compressors Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Background in automotive or industrial environments preferred Ability to work independently and manage daily workload Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving ability Professional communication and customer interaction skills Valid driver's license with a clean record Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments Compensation and Benefits Hourly pay from $25.00 to $35.00 depending on experience Full-time, steady employment Company service vehicle provided for work use 401(k) plan with profit‑sharing Paid time off Ongoing training and career development opportunities Supportive team environment Chesapeake Automotive Equipment is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable employment laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr
