Job Title: Compliance Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to support import and export compliance activities across our facility. This role involves reviewing transactions to ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and other applicable regulations, managing compliance-related documentation, and responding to inquiries related to trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support import and export compliance activities across the facility.
• Review transactions for compliance with ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and other applicable regulations.
• Manage compliance-related documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Respond to internal and external customer inquiries related to trade compliance.
• Assist with audits, assessments, and regulatory activities, including licensing and jurisdiction.
• Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Service, HR, Compliance, and Document Control teams.
• Prioritize and triage compliance requests while managing multiple competing deadlines.
• Maintain awareness of changing regulatory requirements and communicate impacts to stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of trade compliance experience.
• Experience with import and export regulations.
• Strong ITAR knowledge.
• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and solve ambiguous problems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
• Aerospace & Defense experience.
• SAP experience.
• EAR, OFAC, NRC, US Customs, and Border Protection experience.
• Audit support experience.
• Compliance reporting and licensing experience.
• Experience working with cross-functional global teams.

Work Environment

The position is onsite with a 4/10 schedule and is part of the supply chain team. The role reports directly to the Division Materials Manager and involves a dotted-line working relationship with the current Trade Compliance Manager. The work environment offers broad visibility across the organization, with regular partnerships with the Supply Chain Team, Procurement/Buyers, Customer Service, HR, Compliance/Document Control, as well as external customers and clients regarding export controls and access requirements.

This is a Contract position based out of Mcminnville, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $59.13/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
