Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Urgent Care

Location: Taylorsville, North Carolina

A growing and well-established urgent care organization in western North Carolina is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its team at its new Taylorsville, NC location , scheduled to open this summer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced provider looking to practice in a fast-paced, team-oriented urgent care setting while delivering high-quality care to the local community.

Position Overview

The incoming provider will deliver comprehensive urgent care services for patients presenting with a variety of acute illnesses and injuries in a modern, fully equipped clinic environment. The practice offers strong clinical support, in-house diagnostics, and the opportunity to work autonomously while collaborating with an experienced care team.

This position is specifically designed for providers with a strong urgent care or emergency medicine background who are comfortable managing a broad range of acute conditions in a high-volume setting.

Practice Details

• Location: Taylorsville, NC (new clinic opening this summer)
• Full-time, permanent position
• 12-hour shifts
• Clinic Hours:
  • Monday - Saturday: 9:00 AM - 8:30 PM
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• No appointments scheduled during the final 30 minutes of each shift
• Two NP/PA providers typically scheduled per shift
• Modern clinic with in-house labs and digital X-ray capabilities
• Additional services include:
  • Drug screenings
  • Physicals
  • TB testing
  • Workers' compensation care

Compensation & Benefits

• $60 - $80 per hour , depending on experience
• IRA with 3% employer match
• $2,500 CME allowance annually
• Licensure reimbursement
• Paid Time Off accrual up to 80 hours per year
• Flexible scheduling options

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Required: 2-5+ years of direct Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience to apply
• Strong comfort level treating adult patients and managing a wide variety of acute conditions
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
