Senior Accountant, Revenue - HYBRID
A growing client within the distribution industry is hiring a Senior Accountant with a focus in Revenue. This individual will be responsible for supporting the revenue and AR processes. This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of revenue cycles, data transformation, and ERP system navigation.
Responsibilities
- Own the full-cycle sales invoicing close process and related balance sheet reconciliations
- Review completeness and accuracy of supplier files and sales invoice uploads into Business Central
- Coordinate transformation of emailed files and Alteryx outputs into upload templates
- Approve and troubleshoot sales invoice uploads
- Process cash receipts and perform monthly AR and cash reconciliations
- Partner with other teams to align inputs to the revenue accrual model
- Support monthly revenue accrual process
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits
- Develop and maintain automation solutions in partnership with IT
- Support revenue reporting, audit preparation, and resolution of audit findings or discrepancies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong focus on revenue and AR
- Working knowledge of revenue recognition and AR processes
- Experience with data transformation and invoice uploads into ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment
- Continuous improvement mindset
