Resilience Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our professional team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work while primarily serving clients through our outpatient office in Bakersfield, California. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals, couples, and families navigate their mental health challenges and work towards a healthier lifestyle.

Work Environment

Our work environment is a blend of remote capabilities and an outpatient office setting. While much of your counseling work can be conducted remotely to accommodate client needs, you will also have the opportunity to engage with clients in our outpatient facility when necessary. This hybrid arrangement promotes flexibility and ensures access to a diverse range of resources and support. Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a positive and trusting rapport with clients, fostering open communication and a safe space for sharing.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to assess and treat mental health disorders, providing personalized care based on each client's unique circumstances.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans, considering the specific needs of individuals, couples, and families.
  • Conduct regular counseling sessions, offering therapeutic interventions and support.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as required to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals by referring clients to specialists when necessary to support comprehensive care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance therapeutic skills and remain current with best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to work with a diverse patient population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma-related concerns. You will provide therapeutic support to couples seeking to strengthen their relationship as well as families navigating complex dynamics. Your work will empower clients to develop coping strategies, improve communication skills, and enhance their overall mental well-being.

Qualifications

  • A valid license to practice as an LMFT in California is required.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and therapeutic techniques.

Preferred Experience

  • Specialized training or experience related to addiction counseling is preferred, as many of our clients may be dealing with substance abuse issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices specifically for substance use disorders and concurrent mental health conditions.
  • Proven track record of achieving positive outcomes in therapy and a deep commitment to client-centered care.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 – 90,000, dependent on experience and qualifications. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
