Orthopedic Athletic Trainer

One of the region's largest orthopedic and sports medicine providers, Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute's world-class team of orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians specialize in conditions and injuries of the spine, hand, upper extremities, foot, ankle and lower extremities, as well as joint replacement, concussions, interventional pain management, bone health and orthopedic trauma.

This role will be supporting our West Coast Florida partnerships! This is a Per-Diem (pool) position. Scheduled will be as needed.

Education/Training: Master's degree in related field or Bachelor's in athletic training or related field and 3+ years relevant experience Preferred, 1 or more of the following: NASM-CES, NASM-PES, ISFTA-CPT, NSCA-CSCS, FMS, SFMA

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Licensure/Certification: Maintains current certification as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Board of Certification (BOC) Maintains current license as Athletic Trainer in the State of Florida, Department of Health Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification. Valid Florida driver's license and must be insurable under the Orlando Health insurance carrier's requirements and standards.

Participates in performance improvement, program development, student supervision, assigned committees, safety and infection control, as required. Demonstrates an awareness of legal issues, patient rights and compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies. Practices efficient use and selection of supplies and equipment. Ensures complete documentation and accurate billing when applicable.
