Responsibilities
- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of data center HVAC systems and supporting infrastructure under minimal supervision.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings to support system maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Support air and water balancing efforts to optimize energy efficiency and maintain occupant comfort.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of HVAC equipment, including:
- Air and water-cooled reciprocating chillers
- Centrifugal and screw package chillers
- Natural gas boilers and unit heaters
- Electric duct heaters
- Cooling towers
- Pneumatic, DDC, and Variable Frequency Drive controls
- HVAC air distribution systems, including AHUs, FCUs, fans, and related devices
- Various types of water pumps used in HVAC applications
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure reliable system performance and address routine or emergency maintenance needs.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of the role.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience required; 4 years preferred
- Knowledge of refrigeration principles
- Strong understanding of basic electricity as it applies to HVAC systems and diagnostic tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain security clearance preferred
