Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, working 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), with some weekend shifts required.

Job Description

Seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in high-risk labor and delivery. The ideal candidate will float between units as necessary and provide high-quality care to patients in various stages of childbirth and antepartum management.

Responsibilities

• Administer care to laboring patients, including monitoring high-risk deliveries, and managing maternal emergencies.
• Utilize advanced skills in induction, augmentation, and active management of laboring patients.
• Provide education and support to patients regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care effectively using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of practice (Compact license accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM.
• Proficient in the Epic charting system.
