Design and implement controls improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability. Job Functions / ResponsibilitiesDesigns and implements modifications to existing electrical system which includes robotics, automation equipment and CNC machinesSolicits bids, selects contractors, and coordinates activities with internal departmentsEnsures projects are completed within budget and on schedule, ensuring that the vendors follows all Paccar Inc safety requirementsCoordinates and supervises major maintenance, emergency repairs, and corrective actions on equipment and facilitiesMaintains necessary records and documentation, preparing management reports as necessaryImplement and maintain computerized PLC and CNCContinuous improvement working with IT department and integrated process monitoring systemsFollow plant’s standards for filing and maintaining documentation per ISO standards. Maintains up-to date machine design documentation for all machines.Reviews engineering designs for manufacturing feasibility and recommends changes as necessaryPrepare, manage and implement capital budget projects. Support Six Sigma projectsFacilitate effective communication to plant management on project statusQualifications & SkillsBSEE or equivalent Technical degreeMinimum 5 years related experienceFamiliar with risk assessments and safety evaluationAbility to manage multiple projects with the flexibility to adapt to conflicting requirementsKnowledge of city, state, and federal electrical codes required. Knowledge of mechanical and safety codes preferredKnowledge of Profibus, Profisafe, Safety Integrated, and ASI-BusPLC programming using Siemens TIA PortalCNC programming using Siemens Step-7 Powerline, Solutionline and HMI advanceDemonstrated ability to create and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and ladder diagrams, function block diagrams, STL to effectively trouble shoot systemsExceptional computer literacy.
