Just a short walk from the Pismo Beach Pier and downtown, Cottage Inn provides an inviting home base for enjoying the beaches, Central Coast wineries, and other nearby attractions.The RoleAs a General Maintenance Engineer I, you'll help keep the hotel running smoothly, safely, and comfortably for our guests and team. This is a hands-on role where you'll respond to maintenance needs, perform preventative upkeep, and troubleshoot issues throughout the property. You'll:Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spacesRespond promptly to guest and team member maintenance requestsTroubleshoot and address basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building issuesComplete preventative maintenance to help keep equipment and hotel systems operating properlyInspect rooms and common areas for maintenance needs and report issues requiring additional attentionMaintain a clean, safe, and organized engineering workspace and propertyOperate and care for maintenance tools and equipment properlySupport pool, mechanical, laundry, and other hotel equipment maintenance as neededFollow safety procedures and applicable building, fire, and health standardsDocument completed work and communicate outstanding maintenance needs to the Engineering teamWork collaboratively with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments to support the overall guest experienceAssist with special projects, property improvements, and other maintenance needs as assignedWhat Success Looks LikeThe hotel is safe, functional, and well maintained, with maintenance issues addressed before they become bigger problems.
