Bi-weekly; base salary of $728.00 per week plus productivity escalator and bonus (see offer letter, Exhibits A and B)

Up to 15 completed clinical sessions per week covered by base salary

Position summary

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides licensed clinical social work services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families through RCC's virtual group practice. The role centers on trauma-informed, evidence-based care, with particular attention to military-connected and TRICARE-covered clients.

The LCSW carries an individual caseload, keeps documentation timely and compliant, coordinates care with other providers, and takes part in the practice's clinical and administrative life. The position reports directly to the Clinical Director.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Clinical services

1. Conduct biopsychosocial intake assessments, including risk and safety screening, and establish DSM-5-TR diagnoses within scope of the LCSW license.
2. Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans with clients and review them at intervals required by payer and practice policy.
3. Provide individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy via HIPAA-compliant telehealth, using evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities.
4. Assess and respond to clinical risk, including suicide and violence risk, following the practice's crisis and safety planning protocols.
5. Fulfill mandated reporting duties under Virginia law and consult the Clinical Director promptly on any reportable concern.
6. Deliver services only in states where the therapist holds an active license and where the client is physically located at the time of service.

Social work and care coordination

1. Assess clients' environmental and systemic needs and connect them to community, school, military, and VA resources as appropriate.
2. Coordinate care with psychiatric providers, primary care, schools, and other treating professionals, with valid releases of information on file.
3. Support military-connected families through deployment, reintegration, PCS moves, and military-to-civilian transition.

Documentation and compliance

1. Complete progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in SimplePractice within the timelines set in the productivity standards below.
2. Code sessions accurately (CPT, diagnosis, and modifiers) and meet documentation requirements of commercial payers and TRICARE.
3. Maintain client confidentiality under HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 where applicable, and the NASW Code of Ethics.
4. Track and maintain licensure, continuing education, and credentialing documents, and notify the practice at least 60 days before any expiration.

Practice participation

1. Attend mandatory practice meetings, clinical case consultation, and required trainings.
2. Participate in individual supervision or consultation with the Clinical Director as scheduled.
3. Maintain accurate availability in the scheduling system and respond to client and practice communications within one business day.
4. Perform other administrative duties as reasonably assigned by the Clinical Director.

Productivity and documentation standards

A session counts toward caseload and compensation only when it meets all three conditions of a "completed session" in the offer letter.

Weekly session counts are measured Monday through Sunday. Repeated late documentation may lead to a corrective action plan regardless of session volume.

Required qualifications

• Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Active, unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license issued by the Virginia Board of Social Work, maintained in good standing throughout employment.
• Active NPI and eligibility to be credentialed with RCC's contracted payers, including TRICARE.
• Individual professional liability (malpractice) insurance, maintained throughout employment.
• Demonstrated competence in diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and risk assessment.
• Proficiency delivering therapy via telehealth and working in an electronic health record.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace for all sessions.
• Ability to pass a background check and verify employment eligibility (Form I-9).

Preferred qualifications

• Two or more years of post-licensure clinical experience.
• Training in one or more trauma modalities: EMDR, CPT, IFS, TF-CBT, or polyvagal-informed approaches.
• Experience with military-connected clients, veterans, or families navigating deployment and PCS moves.
• Child and family experience, including play therapy or sand tray (RPT or RPT-candidate status a plus).
• Additional state LCSW licenses or readiness to practice under the Social Work Licensure Compact once operational, to serve RCC's multi-state client base.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Working conditions

• Primarily remote telehealth work at a computer for extended periods.
• Schedule includes some evening or weekend hours to match client availability, set with the Clinical Director.
• Regular exposure to trauma content; the practice supports clinician wellbeing through consultation and reasonable caseload management.
