Automated Welding Coordinator

We are seeking a proactive Automated Welding Coordinator to oversee robotic programming and automation in a manufacturing facility located in Fort Wayne, IN. This role involves managing a team of technical experts to enhance and troubleshoot automated systems for welding, blasting, and painting.Applicants must have hands-on experience programming robotic welding systems specifically within a manufacturing setting. Experience in general robotics or automation will not be considered.ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor Robotics Programmers and Robotic Process TechniciansOversee automation projects from inception to production launchProgram, test, and validate robotic welding processesIdentify areas for productivity, quality, and equipment enhancementsTroubleshoot robotics, PLCs, electrical systems, and moreReview engineering drawings and models to support projectsLead root-cause analysis and implement equipment improvementsCreate training materials and technical documentationCollaborate with various teams for project successRequirementsMultiple years of robotics programming and automation experience in manufacturingProven robotic welding programming skillsExperience in supervising technical employeesWorking knowledge of PLCs, vision systems, and moreExperience with FANUC Roboguide and Lincoln Electric WeldPro a plusFamiliarity with CAD software, especially Autodesk InventorDegree in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering preferredStrong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilitiesComprehensive benefits are effective starting the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
