Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Unit Duration: Contract Shift: Not specified Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: 2 years required License: Valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: 2 years of experience, BLS, ACLS Description: Provide nursing care in an intermediate care unit setting. Manage a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 4 patients. Care for patients with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, and hypertensive emergencies. Support patients experiencing respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, and substance abuse. Administer heparin drips as needed. Demonstrate the ability to handle complex medical cases including encephalopathy. Maintain a high standard of patient care and safety. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with all relevant protocols and guidelines.
