With our experienced staff and fleet of vehicles, we are able to meet telephone and power construction needs from concept through to reality.LeCom Utility Contractors is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Administrator to manage and process payroll for a diverse workforce including field crews, CDL drivers, and administrative staff. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely payroll while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including construction and multi-state requirements.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Process weekly payroll for field and office employees, including hourly, and salaried workersAccurately calculate overtime, prevailing wages (if applicable), bonuses, and deductionsReview and verify timesheets from field crews, foremen, and supervisorsCoordinate with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate job costing and labor allocationMaintain employee payroll records, including tax forms, direct deposits, and benefit deductionsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, including multi-state payroll requirementsProcess garnishments, child support, and other wage attachmentsRespond to employee payroll-related inquiries in a timely and professional mannerAssist with internal and external payroll auditsMaintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll informationQualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in construction, utilities, or infrastructure servicesExperience processing payroll for field employees and multi-state operationsKnowledge of payroll systems (Dayforce experience preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll/accounting softwareStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
