Machine Operator

The primary role of the Machine Operator is to set up, operate, and monitor foam extrusion machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor foam extrusion machines.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, including PLCs, robotic systems, and auxiliary machinery.
• Perform dimensional and precision measurements to verify product specifications.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, industrial equipment malfunctions, or engineering problems promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, quality inspections, and machine maintenance logs.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously during all phases of machine operation and materials handling.
• Assist with assembly tasks and support warehouse operations related to plastics production materials.

Essential Skills

• Experience in machine operation, especially with foam extrusion machines.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in quality and precision measurement.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing.
• Ability to operate CNC machines, press brake machines, and robotic systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, calipers, tape measures, and other inspection tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in plastics blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion processes.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment such as CNC lathes and PLC-controlled machinery.
• Experience with materials handling within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, production quantities, and quality standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Titusville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
