• Pay Rate: $75.00–$80.00 / Hour (USD)

Job Summary

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ER) at a multi-campus healthcare facility. The client is looking for a well-rounded ED nurse. There is a psych holding area in the ED.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting, including a psych holding area.
• Float between Leominster and Clinton campuses as required.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5.
• Chart using Epic electronic health records system.
• Adhere to scheduling based on the needs of the unit; no block schedules can be accommodated.
• Maintain flexibility to start four (4) hours prior to or four (4) hours after scheduled start time based on limited critical department need.
• Work every other weekend and holiday as required.

Education Requirements

• Permanent Massachusetts (MA) RN License required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required

Required Skills

• Ability to float between Leominster and Clinton campuses
• Flexibility to adjust start time up to four (4) hours before or after scheduled shift based on critical department need
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to work every other weekend and holiday
• Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30); will accept 48-hour weeks

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Night shift: 3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30
• Float requirement: Must be available to float between Leominster and Clinton campuses
• Scheduling is based on the needs of the unit; absolutely no block schedules can be accommodated
• Must have flexibility to start four (4) hours prior to or four (4) hours after scheduled start time based on limited critical department need
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend and holiday
• Will accept 48-hour weeks
• Flu vaccination: Required — Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not required
• Patient ratio: 1:5
• Psych holding area present within the ED

Important Notes

• Will be required to take 2 pass/fail tests at orientation for telemetry and medication.
• Start dates beyond 7/13 cannot be accepted.
• July RTO will not be approved unless it is 1–2 days.
