Job Description & Requirements Duration: 13 weeks Work hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment type: Travel Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Location: Round Rock, TX We're looking for Cardiac Cath Lab RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Round Rock, TX. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. As a Cath Lab RN, you'll work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in a cardiovascular surgical environment. Responsibilities include maintenance and monitoring of EKG equipment and assisting during angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology procedures. As a Cath Lab Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks: Learn complex technologies effectively. Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization to diagnose and treat heart conditions. Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties, and stent placements. Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter‑defibrillators (ICDs). Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds while moving patients. Cope with a fast‑paced environment and interact with people of all ages and backgrounds. Requirements: ACLS and BLS certifications. Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience. Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.
