Whether you love exploring nature, relaxing by the water, or being part of a close-knit coastal community, Toledo delivers the best of Oregon’s natural beauty and coastal lifestyle.What You Will DoTroubleshoot to evaluate root cause and address technical issues with long term solutions in mindSolve complex problems with minimal guidanceEvaluate processes and equipment operation - work with various drives and equipment integrationPlan and manage process improvement projectsRead and understand P&ID's, loop sheets, and electrical drawingsLearn new programming languages and understand control loop dynamics and tuningWork with DCS and PLC platforms such as Honeywell Experion, Rockwell RS Logix 5000, Mod 300, and ModiconPerform project scope definitions and manage a wide variety of technical projectsCommunicate and work with various operational, environmental, maintenance, and engineering levels in a team environment yet be self-motivated and accomplish individual goalsEffectively communicate with internal customers and leadershipWork with a sense of urgency and customer focus mindsetExhibit a high level of proficiency with Honeywell Experion and Rockwell PLC products and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Proven experience in process controls/automationExperience with PLCs (Rockwell preferred), HMIs, and automated control systemsExperience programming and hardware management in industrial process control platforms and networksExperience reviewing basic loop sheets and/or P&IDsMust have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorshipWhat Will Put You AheadBachelor's Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or Electrical EngineeringExperience working within a Pulp and Paper operationExperience working with protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, ControlNet, and/or Ethernet/IPExperience working with Honeywell Experion, RS Logix 5000, Mod 300, and ModiconAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
