Summary You will serve as a Maintenance Worker This position is to performs recurring building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties and to assist journeymen and other higher-graded workers. Responsibilities Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Performs electrical tasks such as replacing light switches and household light fixtures, changing light bulbs, and assisting electrician when pulling wire in conduit and installing electric boxes. Performs mostly concrete and plaster touch up around existing historic and other masonry structures. Working largely without direct supervision, operates and performs minor maintenance on a variety of vehicles such as ten wheel dump truck, front end loader, bulldozer, hot oil distributor, road brooms, street sweepers, asphalt laydown machine, etc. Operates equipment on flat or rolling terrain, in refuse dumps, and at construction sites with simple terrain problems and performs duties such as plowing snow, spreading road material, hauling materials to job site, loading material on dump truck, removing rock slides, clearing sides of roads, removing hazardous trees,rolling and compacting asphalt and base materials for roads, walks, parking lots, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
