Job Title: Lending SME / Business Consultant (Contract) Location: Chicago, IL (On-site) Duration: 3–6 Months (Contract) Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned Lending Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead client engagements for our Intellect Lending platform in the US market. This role focuses on implementing modern Loan Origination and Servicing solutions for US-based Banks and Credit Unions. You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure our solution meets US regulatory standards and operational needs. Key Responsibilities Client Engagement & Solution Design Conduct workshops with US Banks and Credit Unions to map Retail, SME, and Mortgage lending workflows. Translate business requirements into detailed Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) and User Stories within an Agile framework . Map client requirements to the Intellect Lending framework, identifying necessary configurations for the US market. US Ecosystem Integration Define integration specifications for US-specific third-party providers: Credit Bureaus: Experian, Equifax, TransUnion (FICO models). Flood/Insurance: FEMA flood determinations, homeowners insurance verification. Compliance/ID: LexisNexis, Alloy, or similar KYC/AML tools. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight Ensure all workflows align with US federal regulations including TILA-RESPA (TRID) , Regulation Z , Regulation B (ECOA) , HMDA reporting , and FCRA . Incorporate BSA/AML and OFAC screening requirements into the digital onboarding process. Testing & Go-Live Support Develop and execute UAT test cases specifically for US lending products (e.g., HELOCs, 15/30-year fixed mortgages, SBA loans). Validate the accuracy of integrated disclosure engines (e.g., Wolters Kluwer or DocuMagic). Required Skills & Experience Domain Expertise 5+ years of experience as a BA or SME in US Banking/Fintech. Deep knowledge of the US Credit Union ecosystem (e.g., experience with core systems like Jack Henry, Fiserv, or FIS). Expertise in US-specific loan products : Residential Mortgages (Conventional, FHA, VA). HELOCs and Home Equity Loans. Small Business Administration ( SBA ) lending. Unsecured Personal Loans and Auto Lending. Functional & Technical Knowledge Strong experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS). Proficiency in creating BPMN process maps and Data Mapping Sheets for API integrations.
