What You'll Do:

• Provide emergency medical care to diverse patient populations in an active ED setting
• Assess, diagnose, and treat urgent medical conditions
• Collaborate with ED team including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other staff
• Manage patient documentation and medical records accurately
• Adhere to hospital protocols and quality standards
• Handle multiple cases efficiently during high-volume shifts
• Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes

What You Need:

• Active Pennsylvania medical license
• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience
• Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills

• Clean malpractice history and favorable NPDB report

About the Assignment: This assignment entails coverage at a fully equipped emergency department with a provider staffing model that includes one physician per shift (6A-6P, 6P-6A) and one Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA 11-9). The ED is supported by 2 RNs around the clock, a mid-day triage RN, respiratory staff, float RNs, Nursing Supervisor, and Nurse Manager. The facility does not handle labor and delivery; stabilized patients are transferred to Conemaugh as needed.
