Work Shifts

9:00 A.M – 5:00 P.M (35 Hours per week) No weekends required

Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of Position: Under general supervision, performs a wide-range of photography and video production functions by developing, posting, producing and editing high-quality photographic and video content and capturing events and subjects via video and photography in order to provide content for web, social media, publication, public relations or exhibition purposes. Effectively utilizes digital equipment and post-production software. Manages all aspects of pre-production, field production, post production and publishing. Performs both regular, recurring production projects, as well as large campaigns with effectiveness and efficiency, resulting in compelling imagery. Follows all appropriate standard operating and patient privacy/confidentiality procedures. Examples of Typical Tasks:

• Participates in the planning, production, and delivery of creative photo/video content. Manages project delivery timelines and expectations.
• Produces and edits a wide-range of high-quality, compelling photo and video assets that meet the System's brand standards and support internal and external promotional efforts. Participates in the development of an overall video brand messaging strategy.
• Creates photos and videos for social media and other marketing materials. Produces media assets and content, including editing and delivery of videos for the website or other advertising needs, in alignment with the System's brand. Adheres to proper branding for videos to be shared on social media and is able to add clear, consistent subtitles and title cards.
• Performs custom and specialized photography and video on location, throughout the five boroughs, including live employee town hall webinars, with a solid understanding of camera, lens types, camera settings, and lighting requirements for specific photo/video shoots and editing.
• Plans and coordinates photo/video shoots and delivers all assets in the post-production process. Manages a wide-range of assignments, including same-day deadline shoots that require photos be transmitted immediately for social media use to strategic planning of long-term photo and video essays.
• Sets-up and manages in-house photo/video production studio by scheduling photo/editing sessions and use of equipment, managing project communication, selecting and editing photos in each publication, being responsible for light re-touching and color-correcting before photos are published for photo/video shoots, pickup, and in-house media, ensuring that media is of high-quality, resolution, focus and clarity and performing other in-house production functions.
• Performs post - photo/video shoot production, photo editing, selection and uploading/archiving, as well as regular administrative duties, such as filing consent forms and corresponding with post-production partners and internal stakeholders on deliverables.
• Creates a video library of available footage, repurposing existing videos, wherever possible, and creating new ones to fill in the gaps.
• Manages photo and video storage and archiving system for multimedia content.
• Works across business units to properly assess and support various photography and video needs and consults with stakeholders to determine needs based on end use, budget and time; coordinates and schedules photo sessions with multiple stakeholders.
• Proposes solutions on how to execute recurring and campaign photo/video shoots with available resources and time constraints; communicates photo/video shoot logistics and ensures photo and video production is aligned with the shoot plans.
• Performs related duties, as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Film, Video Production, Communications or a related discipline; and 2. Two (2) years of photography and video production experience.
