Sterilization Technician

Position Summary

Sterilize dental instruments including instrument cassettes, bur blocks, endo file boxes, and handpieces. Track dental instruments through all phases of the cleaning and sterilization process by utilizing scanning technology. Perform routine maintenance on a variety of dental equipment. Operate disinfection and sterilization equipment. Troubleshoot error messages, perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation of equipment. Maintain files and records and provide support to clinic office staff.

Qualifications

Required Education:High School Diploma or equivalent Required Experience:1+ years of related experience. Familiarity with instruments. Preferred Experience:1+ years Dental assistant training or experience. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST). Ability to work in a fast paced and hectic environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Familiarity working with computers.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $32.972. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
