Credentialing Assistant - Seasonal (Temporary Role payrolled through 3rd Party Provider)

Overview This role supports league-wide credentialing operations for professional soccer events, working directly with the Credentialing Coordinator. The position focuses on administrative coordination, communication, and operational support. This is a temporary, non-exempt position running from mid-June through Oct. 31, 2026, based on-site at MLS Headquarters four days per week. To ensure a consistent inoffice presence that supports collaboration throughout the week, the remote day may notbe used exclusively on Mondays or Fridays. Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Take detailed notes in meetings and track action items Schedule meetings and coordinate across departments Monitor and organize credentialing inbox; respond to routine inquiries and elevate as needed Assist in drafting and distributing internal communications and memos Assist in processing credential requests for league staff and external stakeholders in a timely manner ensuring club deadlines are met Maintain and update credentialing databases and records Support distribution of credentialing information to approved individuals Assist with preparation for credentialing operations at league events Attend select events to: Distribute credentials on-site Support credential office operations Troubleshoot basic access issues and escalatem complex situations Prepare and ship credential packages to clubs and stakeholders Receive, organize, and track incoming shipments Maintain inventory of credentialing materials (lanyards, wristbands, supplies) Assist with invoice processing and budget tracking Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree required Required Skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Clear and professional communication skills Comfortable handling high-pressure situations and resolving conflict calmly Experience in sports, live events, or credentialing Proficiency in Microsoft Office Occasional travel may be required for event operations and on-site credential distribution Desired Skills Experience with Smartsheet Familiarity with credentialing/accreditation platforms (e.g., Accredit, TicketManager, Cube Credential Builder) Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency) Knowledge of the sport of soccer Total Rewards This is a 4-month temporary position. Major League Soccer offers a compensation of$20.00/hr; 40 hours/week. This position is eligible for overtime pay.
