Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligibility from the American Speech Hearing and Language Association.
- Must hold Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene license for Speech Pathology.
- Knowledge and experience using Assistive Technology and instructional technology.
- Strong background in communication assessment, interventions, and programs for students with diverse special needs.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including empathy, teamwork, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and emotional control; maintain organization and punctuality.
- Understanding and commitment to the goals and values of Washington County Public Schools.
- Required prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to sufficiently move throughout the building and grounds.
- Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with individuals as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear.
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Ability to travel district-wide and state-wide if needed.
- Ability to work prolonged and irregular hours.
