Role description The Environment Business Line of Arcadis is currently searching for a Technical Intern / Civil Engineering Co-op/Intern to join our team. The start term is flexible and may begin in a future semester based on candidate availability and business needs. Role accountabilities This is a great opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of civil design and environmental engineering projects within the consulting environment, with a focus on civil engineering projects. This position requires a broad educational background with an emphasis on science and engineering principles and fundamentals. What you will do Successful intern can expect to get involved in civil engineering design associated with soil remediation, stormwater management, hydraulic and hydrologic evaluations, developing design reports, construction drawings, and specifications. May work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously and candidates should possess strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Assist project teams supporting land development tasks associated with remediation system designs. Office work may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, quality assurance/quality control reviews, report writing, and construction drawing preparation. Assist with design calculations associated with bulk earthwork, stormwater management, hydraulics, and pipe burial. Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications Pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental or related engineering discipline.
