Team members are encouraged to grow their technical skills while contributing to impactful projects. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PLS CADD/LiDAR Expert role based in San Diego, CA. The PLS CADD/LiDAR Expert will process, analyze, and interpret LiDAR data to support transmission line design and related engineering projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing PLS CADD models, generating design documentation, and ensuring data accuracy and quality control. The role will collaborate closely with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to integrate LiDAR-derived datasets into project workflows and deliverables. The expert will also help optimize workflows, maintain standards, and support the adoption of new tools and technologies related to LiDAR and line design. Qualifications Proficiency with PLS CADD and related line design tools to model, analyze, and document transmission and distribution line projects. Experience with LiDAR data processing, classification, and quality control for engineering and surveying applications. Strong understanding of surveying principles, mapping, and geospatial data management (e.g., coordinate systems, GIS basics). Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards related to utility or infrastructure projects. Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary project teams. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geomatics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Previous experience in utility, transmission, or infrastructure design environments is preferred.
