Registered Veterinary Technician,Emergency Location: Care Center - Centerville, OH Schedule: Full Time | 3rd Shift | 6pm-6:30am | Rotating Schedule: Week 1: Tues. Wed. Sat. Week 2: Sun, Thurs, Fri | One On-Call Weekend Shift Per Month Compensation: $25-35/hr | $35+ for VTS Credentials | $3/hour Shift Differential from 7pm-7am Mon. through Fri. and all day Sat. & Sun. | On-Call Pay 1.5x hourly rate if called in We are offering a $5000 hiring bonus for this position! In Your Day-To-Day, You Will Assess and triage emergency patients upon arrival, working alongside veterinarians to establish and implement appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans. Provide high-quality nursing care through administering treatments, closely monitoring hospitalized patients, identifying changes in condition, and prioritizing patient comfort and well-being. Utilize advanced technical skills such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, diagnostic sample collection, radiography, anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery, surgical nursing, and additional procedures within your scope of practice. Help maintain smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the Emergency and Critical Care department while completing accurate medical documentation and upholding high standards of patient care. Provide compassionate client communication through patient updates, education on treatment plans, and support throughout the admission, discharge, and overall care process. Work collaboratively with veterinarians and fellow technicians in a fast-paced, team-focused environment to support exceptional outcomes for patients. What You Bring Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, LVT, or equivalent) with strong technical skills, including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, anesthesia induction and monitoring, patient preparation and recovery, surgical nursing, dental prophylaxis, radiography, and perioperative patient care. Previous experience in veterinary medicine with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency and specialty environment. A collaborative, team-first mindset with the initiative to jump in where needed and support your colleagues to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate clients, work effectively with veterinarians and fellow team members, and adapt your communication style to a variety of situations. The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and composed while caring for critically ill patients and supporting clients through emotional and high-pressure situations. Strong organizational skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a dynamic hospital setting. In June of 2019, we moved to a brand new, 15,000 square foot facility.
