Maintenance ElectricianPosition Summary: We are hiring a full-time Maintenance Electrician to work on-site in Houston, TX. This position involves handling daily responsibilities that include maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive care on electrical systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that all electrical components operate safely, reliably, and at optimal performance levels.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical maintenance and repair on industrial or mining-related machineryHandle the setup, adjustment, and ongoing maintenance of electrical systems, instruments, and gaugesTroubleshoot and assess electrical problems, providing solutions for repairs or system improvementsMaintain logs, complete necessary documentation, and report daily repair activitiesConduct routine preventive maintenance to minimize system downtime and disruptionsOffer support to the broader maintenance team when requiredAdhere strictly to all company safety procedures and utilize appropriate PPE while on-siteTake on additional tasks as needed to support operational successCandidate QualificationsHands-on experience with electrical systems maintenanceStrong abilities in diagnostics, repairs, and problem-solvingFamiliar with preventive maintenance strategies and implementationSolid understanding of electricity, electrical tools, and maintenance workflowsEffective communication skills with a collaborative mindsetAbility to work autonomously and manage tasks efficientlyPreferred: certification or educational background in electrical engineering or a related disciplineDemonstrated experience working as a commercial electrician or in a comparable construction roleSkilled in using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing toolsComfortable reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and schematicsFamiliarity with low-voltage systems and logic controllers is a plusCommitted to maintaining safety standards on active job sitesHigh attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot under pressureClear communicator who thrives in team-based environments
