Program Description The Regional Center Mobile Crisis Program in Riverside County provides emergency crisis intervention services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities experiencing acute mental health crises in their homes and community. Pacific Clinics utilizes a holistic, integrative approach to addressing a crisis including trauma‑informed care, neurodiversity‑affirming approaches, research‑based mental health practices, and nonviolent crisis intervention. We view the consumer and family as part of a dynamic system beyond simply individuals with behaviors. Services include phone screening and triage; in‑person crisis assessment, de‑escalation and stabilization; and linkage to long‑term community supports. Anticipated Work Schedule Working overtime, weekends and holidays may be required. Compensation Initial compensation ranges from $77,143.00 – $94,876.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and internal equity considerations. 8% license differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, and select peer certifications. 5% bilingual differential for qualified positions; Spanish preferred. Job Summary Hires, develops, trains, and manages Crisis Intervention Specialists and/or Family Specialists to ensure quality services to individuals in the community, utilizing shadowing, coaching, and other activities that allow the observation of staff in action while providing crisis de‑escalation services. Functions as one of two liaisons between the team and community partners. Coordinates and supervises daily program operations, assures adherence to policy and procedures, collaborates with agency leadership to ensure quality document completion, and ensures fiscal stewardship of program funds. May require certification in restraint protocols. Responsibilities Coordinate services for individuals and families with internal and external providers, developing constructive relationships and problem‑solving barriers related to acute mental health crisis. Respond to community‑based mental health crisis, including intervening with individuals presenting as a danger to self or others. Participate in joint responses with local law enforcement agencies to acute mental or behavioral health crisis. Conduct field‑based supervision, oversight and risk management of potentially adverse incidents. Hire, coach, train, discipline and terminate staff. Ensure that the individual's voice is heard and services are culturally responsive to internal and external customers. Espouse a values‑based model of care and coach staff accordingly. Provide evidence‑based practices in trainings, supervision, and coaching. Manage 24‑hour scheduling, including last‑minute call‑outs, vacations and training requirements. Oversee implementation of treatment plans, safety planning and resourcing for individuals served. Support staff in following risk management and incident reporting procedures. Ensure compliance with all policy and procedures, including adherence to licensing, quality, IT, HR, compliance and regulatory standards. Ensure clinical documentation and quality assurance meet agency and payor standards, including audit‑ready charts and continuous quality improvement. Monitor defined outcome achievement for youth and families, including satisfaction levels. Provide effective crisis and risk prevention and management. Manage operations, including utilization of administrative electronic systems. Assume a leadership role in the development of the crisis team. Provide a variety of learning opportunities for staff, including classroom courses and field supervision. Work closely with clinical program leadership to ensure full implementation of the agency service philosophy. Meet applicable productivity and documentation requirements. Participate in after‑hours and weekend on‑call rotation, which may include in‑person response. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, or a related field and at least one year of experience in social or mental health services delivery, crisis management, or an equivalent field. First Aid Certification, CPR Certification and TCI Training required. If required, employee must pass an initial physical abilities test (PATS) and be certified in crisis intervention techniques within the first 30 days and annually.
