Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Role Overview: This position functions as a vital member of a diverse healthcare team, providing direct patient care across various diagnostic categories, including adult and pediatric populations. While serving as a generalist, the role offers opportunities to develop specialization in a clinical area of interest. Key Responsibilities Patient Treatment: Implements and modifies treatment plans based on current practices; documents and bills for services; coordinates follow-up care post-discharge. Patient Assessment: Performs evaluations, sets goals, and plans discharges; shares findings with relevant parties and ensures proper documentation. Education: Creates a positive learning environment for students, volunteers, and staff; facilitates learning objectives and clinical education. Productivity: Meets departmental productivity standards, documents work promptly, and actively participates in patient service. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. Licenses and certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS Instructor, Georgia State Licensure (required upon hire). Proven experience in physical therapy and ability to work effectively in a team.
