TheLucidPhysician, in collaboration with the University of Miami Medical Group (UMMG) Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, is seeking a Staff Physician to provide exceptional care for adults in a primary care clinic. \nCore Job Functions:\n
\n
\nDeliver comprehensive care appropriate for a primary care clinic with a multicultural adult patient population across UHealth ambulatory locations\n
\n
\nEngagement in scholarly activities, and institutional service including clinical research, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows may also be an essential part of the position\n
\n
\nParticipation in quality improvement initiatives and systems compliance initiatives; and Division, Departmental, Medical School and University-wide service\n
\n
\nMay maintain outpatient clinical practice at any of our UHealth ambulatory locations.\n
\n
\nManage a schedule of 9 half-day sessions per week\n
\n
\nMay be involved in clinical/educational activities at Jackson Memorial Hospital including inpatient wards, medical consultation service and the ambulatory resident clinic\n
\n

\nQualifications:\n
\n
\nMD or DO degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited US Internal Medicine internship and residency\n
\n
\nAmerican Board Certification (or eligibility) in Internal Medicine\n
\n
\nEligible for unrestricted Florida medical licensure\n
\n
\nCurrent BLS certification required; ACLS (if applicable).\n
\n
\nValid DEA licensure\n
\n
\nCommitment to patient-centered care and academic excellence\n
\n
\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\n
\n
\nKnowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.\n
\n
\nMust maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements\n
\n
\nMust have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
