Internal Audit Intern

What's the role? Join our Internal Audit team as a SOX 404 Summer Intern and step into the world where we help protect the business strengthening controls, uncovering risks, and making sure HERE processes work the way they should. You’ll be hands‑on with real testing, real controls, and make a real impact. You’ll work closely with our audit team, process owners, and COO leaders to evaluate the strength of our internal control environment while building skills that stand out in accounting, finance, consulting, and risk careers. What you’ll do: Perform SOX 404 testing across key business processes (e.g., Close the Books, Procure‑to‑Pay) Analyze evidence to determine whether controls operated effectively Document test results in a clear, professional format Communicate findings and agree on remediation steps with process owners Support Internal Audit leadership in preparing a consolidated summary of SOX 404 results What you’ll learn: How to evaluate whether a control actually works How to think critically and ask the right questions How to communicate results clearly & confidently How Internal Audit partners across the business (with Accounting, Finance, HR, IT and more) By the end of this SOX 404 internship, you’ll walk away with: Real audit testing experience– not shadowing Dedicated mentorship from Internal Audit leaders Exposure to Senior Leaders Experience that makes your resume stand-out to Big 4, consulting, corporate finance, internal audit and risk recruiters Who are you? A rising Junior or Senior (or recent Graduate) majoring in Accounting, Finance, Business looking to take on this full‑time role for 8-12 weeks A strong communicator who can ask great questions and build relationships Someone who is curious, analytical, and enjoys thinking critically Someone comfortable working with data, documentation, and process flows Someone who is excited to grow through mentorship opportunities This is a paid internship with a fixed hourly rate of depending on your level of education as follows: Undergraduate Students: $25/hr Graduate Students: $30/hr PhD Students: $35/hr Full-time - 40 hours per week.
