Fitter - earn up to $ 1,310 weekly with OT

Savard Personnel Group is currently seeking an experienced Fitter. This position is ideal for individuals with experience fitting pressure vessels, structural steel, process piping, and heavy fabrication in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
• Lay out, fit, and assemble pressure vessels, structural steel, piping, and process equipment.
• Measure, cut, align, tack, and prepare materials for welding.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools.
• Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, torches, magnetic drills, and overhead cranes.
• Work closely with welders and shop personnel to ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment while following all company safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous fitter experience in a fabrication or manufacturing shop preferred.
• Experience fitting pressure vessels, process piping, structural steel, or heavy industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Knowledge of layout, fit-up, and fabrication techniques.
• Experience using tape measures, squares, levels, and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

• Pressure vessel fabrication
• ASME code shop experience
• Oil & gas fabrication
• Structural steel fabrication
• Process skid fabrication
• Pipe fitting
• Heavy industrial manufacturing
• Tack welding experience (a plus)
• Overhead crane operation

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in a fabrication shop for extended periods.
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments as required.
