Buyer
Location: Branchburg, NJ | Job Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Onsite
Salary: $85,000–$92,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to manage purchasing, inventory, and supplier relationships for an industrial parts distribution business.
Firm Requirements
- 3–5 years of Buyer/Purchasing experience
- 2–3 years working for a parts distributor
- 2–3 years of international purchasing experience
Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing and inventory for assigned product lines.
- Analyze demand, inventory levels, lead times, and sales history.
- Determine what, when, and how much to purchase.
- Manage purchase orders with international suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, MOQs, and lead times.
- Monitor backorders, shortages, excess, and slow-moving inventory.
- Coordinate international shipments and supplier issues.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data in the ERP system.
- Identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Acumatica is a plus.
- Strong Excel and computer skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
