Job Summary:
Alto Staffing is seeking a Behavioral/Mental Health Technician/Psych Attendant to provide direct patient care, behavioral support, and safety monitoring in a secure mental health setting.
Scheduling: Schedule is lightly flexible 9-5 or 11-7 or 10-6
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patient behavior and maintain a safe environment.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, hygiene, meals, and personal care.
- Escort patients to appointments, meals, and therapeutic activities.
- Respond to behavioral and emergency situations.
- Assist nursing staff with patient safety interventions as directed.
- Monitor and document patient behavior, activities, and incidents.
- Maintain clean and sanitary patient areas.
- Participate in recreational and therapeutic activities.
- Attend staff meetings and required training.
- Behavioral health or mental health experience preferred.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Ability to remain calm during crisis situations.
- Ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Some college is preferred and must have a active BLS
